JPG to PDF takes a batch of images — JPG, PNG, WebP, or GIF — and places each one on its own page inside a single PDF file, in whatever order you arrange them. That sounds like something the "Print to PDF" option in any operating system already does, but it doesn't behave the same way in practice: a print driver applies whatever paper size and margin settings your default printer happens to have configured, which routinely crops the edges off a portrait photo, stretches a landscape scan to fit a portrait page, or leaves inconsistent white space across a batch when the images have different resolutions. This tool instead measures each image individually and places it on a full page with even margins, so ten receipt photos taken handheld at slightly different distances and angles still come out as ten cleanly proportioned pages inside one document.
The layout logic matters most when the source images are inconsistent, which is the normal case for anything photographed rather than scanned on a flatbed — a phone camera shot of a signed contract page, a screenshot of a delivery confirmation, a photo of a whiteboard. Each image keeps its original aspect ratio; nothing is stretched or squashed to force it into a fixed frame. Where a document scanner produces uniform, pre-cropped pages, a phone camera produces images of wildly different pixel dimensions, and the placement logic accounts for that automatically rather than assuming every input looks the same.
Because the images are embedded into the PDF at their original resolution using pdf-lib, there is no intermediate re-compression step the way there sometimes is when an image is dragged into a word processor and then exported to PDF — a process that frequently re-encodes JPEGs a second time and visibly degrades already-lossy photos. The pixel data captured by your camera or scanner is what ends up in the final PDF page, for better or worse: this tool assembles images into a document, it does not clean up or sharpen a blurry photo.
Upload your images using the drag-and-drop zone or file picker — JPG, PNG, WebP, and GIF are all accepted in the same batch. Use the up and down arrow buttons next to each thumbnail to put them in the order you want them to appear as pages. When you click "Convert to PDF", each image is loaded into the browser, measured, and placed on its own page sized to fit the image cleanly with consistent margins, then pdf-lib assembles every page into a single PDF entirely on your device. The file downloads immediately — nothing is sent to a server at any point in the process.
